Sporting clubs in and outside of school.

Rugby club

One of the sports that I love to play is rugby; I am part of the rugby club in school and find rugby an exciting sport. I am on the Year 8 team and play with other schools in matches. It is an excellent way to meet new people and have great fun. On the left is one of the school newsletter's articles on the match that I played against Hurstmere.

Basketball club

I am also part of the school's basketball club and play as part of the year 8 team against other schools. A number of my friends play basketball and hence I got into it. Basketball has grown on me in the past year and now I spend many break times Practicing with my friends.

Cricket club

One of my favourite sports is cricket. I have been playing cricket ever since I was six years old and love the sport. I am part of the cricket club in school and play on the team in this sport as well. I love batting and the feeling of the hard cricket ball hitting the bat and driving past the fielders to the boundary.

London Youth Games: Kayaking

Last year, I took part in the London Youth Games Kayaking event. I had spent months training for It at my kayaking club and felt extremely excited that I would be representing Bexley For the event. I took part in both the slalom and sprint events and won silver in slalom. As a team, we won the slalom trophy and got gold.

London Youth Games: Sailing

Another London Youth Games event I participated in was the sailing event. I love sailing and got into it around the same time as kayaking. For me, sailing was the first London youth games competition I had attended and was loads of fun. Bexley came second in that event, so our team was overjoyed with the result. On the left, you can see a funny picture of me staring at the boat next to me that had capsized just before leaving the pontoon.
